Teaching description
Good knowledge of history and of ancient architecture; curiosity and critical attitude.
Principles of ancient building technique, for a critical understanding of ancient constructions through the analysis of monumental structures, with specific reference to the monuments of the Greek and Roman culture. Construction methodology and processes, spatial interpretation of architectural complexes. Principles of diagnostics applied to the analysis of ancient walls and buildings, in the context of conservation and restoration of cultural heritage.
Methodology of direct and indirect survey, computerized systems applied in drawing and virtual reconstructions. Participation in survey exercises is compulsory. (CFU 2)
Good knowledge of ancient building technique, with specific reference to the monuments of the Greek and Roman culture. Expertise in direct and indirect survey, and elementary know-how in virtual reconstruction of ancient buildings.
Lectures, visits and inspections, practical exercises.
Oral examination on ancient building technique, critical analysis of ancient monuments, and results of practical exercises.
