Standard per laboratorio di endocrinologia ed oncologia molecolare
Una linea di ricerca verte sulle funzioni del reticolo endoplasmico e la sua alterazione in corso di stress (stress del reticolo endoplasmico) nell’ambito della endocrinologia ed oncologia molecolare. In particolare:
- Ruolo dello stress del reticolo endoplasmico nella fisiopatologia tiroidea: folding della tireoglobulina e studio delle basi molecolari dei gozzi congeniti ipotiroidei
- Ruolo dello stress del reticolo endoplasmico nella patogenesi del diabete di tipo 2
- Studio dei meccanismi molecolari alla base della progressione neoplastica dei carcinomi tiroidei.
La seconda linea di ricerca verte sullo studio dell’immunità mucosale correlata alla modulazione della risposta infiammatoria cronica. In particolare:
- Studio della risposta infiammatoria cronica in modelli di IBD (Colite Ulcerosa e Morbo di Crohn)
- Modulazione della risposta immunitaria mediante sostanze bioattive di origine nutrizionale
- Effetti del microbiota intestinale sulla patogenesi di patologie intestinali ed extra-intestinali
